These photos were taken from the Opening Ceremony of the 2009 World Masters Games on Sunday 11th October. The ceremony was held after the first day of the archery competition. It was one of the most memorable parts of the Games with over 50,000 in the Olympic Stadium. As the athletes' parade was done in order of sport and not nationality, archery got to march through the streets and into the ANZ Olympic Stadium first. The event was televised live in Australia where they take masters sport far more seriously than over here in the UK.
