    340 @ 60m - brilliant way to end the year !

    David Lilley

I have shot at 60m over the last two days and today I shot the best I have ever done. By slightly altering the way I grip the bow from a medium grip to a low grip the groups are getting even closer. I shot a 36 arrow set at 60m and with ends of 57,55,57,57, 55 and 59 (which was an arrow's width from being 60) I scored 340 which is a 13 handicap score.

I then decided to shoot at 20y and as usual things went less well. It is clearly a physiological thing and I am not setting myself up correctly. The groups are a little better than usual but there is clearly a big gap between my outdoor shooting and my indoor shooting. This gap must get closed. There is a solution but I just need to experiment and find it !
