- Bedford Tournament Review
David Lilley
One more UK record chalked up . I got one for the Fita 900 with a score of 801 (29) in a score for the Double Fita 900 of 1583.
I shot 204 arrows in very good conditions. There was no wind in the sunny conditions in the morning but there was a nice, light cooling breeze in the afternoon. I scored a mediocre 782 in the morning session scoring 244, 260 and 278 for 60m, 50m and 40m respectively. In the afternoon I got my act together at 60m scoring 263 but I still scored 260 and 278 at the remaining distances which was frustrating. 801 isn't bad but there is more to come. I was surprised to be so far behind the 40m score of 287 I got last Monday.
I thrashed the UK indoor runner-up which bodes well for the National Outdoor Championships in eight weeks. Next tournament is the New Western at Wokingham next Sunday if the weather is OK.
