- Bow arm problems
David Lilley
I've done quite a bit of shooting over the last eight days as I try to eliminate the 2 to 8 o'clock pattern. This would appear to be caused by the bow arm dropping either directly to cause the 8 o'clock shots or by stretching the draw enough to make the drawing shoulder collapse leading to the 2 o'clock arrows. So I've been altering the draw substantially and so far I have dealt with the high right issues. Now the groups are a little tighter but the lefties are still there but not as pronounced as before. It's making for a good challenge over the summer to deal with this once and for all. The aim is to get the majority of arrows in the ten ring on a 80cm face at 40m. At the moment I manage about 30%.
