- A question of balance
David Lilley
I've worked pretty hard over the last week trying to shoot myself out of a form dip and I've done it. It seems that the problem was me after all and not the bow or the arrows. However, there remains the problem of balance and how to manipulate the shoulders so that I do not lose balance when loosing the arrow. This is what has caused alot of frustration as I know the aim is good but the arrows do not go where they are aimed as the upper body moves too much upon the loose. When I get it right it's a six gold end on a 80cm face at 50y or 60y. Half of the arrows, even when shooting less well, go in the ten zone so it's a case of eliminating the causes of the wayward shot preparation.
